The view from my childhood home in Hamilton, New York.

Growing up as the youngest of four siblings in central New York, I was immersed in the simplicity and beauty of small-town life. Weekends were all about getting outdoors, playing sports, and spending time with family and friends. Whether we were hiking in the woods, riding bikes, sitting around a campfire, or casting lines in the nearby lake, there was always something fun to do. These experiences are valued parts of my upbringing and have shaped who I am today. My parents, hardworking and resilient, instilled in me and my siblings many important values. Among many other things, I learned the importance of family bonds, the value of diligence, and the significance of planning for my future.

The values instilled in me have played an important role in my approach to financial planning. Reflecting on my upbringing, I've come to recognize the delicate balance between planning and embracing life’s unpredictability. In the context of financial planning, having a roadmap is essential. However, as we’ve all seen over the years, especially in the last few years, life has a way of throwing curve balls when you least expect it. Like trying to navigate a maze blindfolded, you need a plan but also the flexibility to adapt to unexpected twists and turns. Embracing change, even when it derails your initial expectations, is part of progression. There’s no way to avoid it. Sometimes it works in your favor, and other times not so much.

In my career as a financial advisor, I've had the privilege of helping individuals and families navigate their own financial courses. I frequently draw on my own lessons and experiences, guiding clients through the uncertainties of the financial landscape with a steady hand and a commitment to their long-term success. I understand firsthand the importance of prudent financial management and the confidence that comes from having a well-thought-out plan in place. Over the years, I’ve come to realize that real planning extends beyond numbers – it’s about aligning one’s plan with their unique values and goals. This aspect makes my role as an advisor rewarding, as I recognize that everyone’s story is different.

Through all of the conversations and stories with you all, I’m often reminded of the simple joys and the lessons that have influenced my journey. My upbringing taught me the value of hard work, persistence, and the power of resilience—lessons that continue to guide me as I help others achieve their financial goals.
